Can you tile over an existing fireplace surround?
In most cases yes, as long as the substrate is sound. We'll check it on the walkthrough before quoting.
What material holds up best around a fireplace?
Natural stone and porcelain both handle heat well. We'll walk you through the trade-offs for your specific unit.
Do you install the mantel too?
We handle the tile and stone work. If a wood mantel is part of the design we can coordinate with your carpenter or a trusted partner.
